Welcome Beginning Orchestra students and parents!
Beginning Orchestra Page:
This is the page that you will need to go to for all of your information this year. I will post announcements, information, some lesson plans, audio links to some of your music, etc. This page will be my main tool in communicating with you about orchestra this year. Please refer to it often.
LESSON PLANS:
Practice all level pieces for Stringathon that you are working on. Some of you might be on Level 1 and there might be others who have advanced to another level, but keep working on your pieces!
In Book 1 we are reviewing pages 38, 39, 40 and 41. Keep working on these pages!!
Upcoming Events:
Stringathon date has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 28th at 5:30 pm in the gym. It is an earlier time than we are used to, so make sure you mark it on your calendars! Call time for students is for 4:45 pm. Students are also required to be at our Dress Rehearsal on Tuesday, March 26th from 2:45 - 4:00 pm in the Cafeteria. Students will rehearse only the levels that they play and then they are allowed to leave the rehearsal. We will start with Level 1 and make our way all the way through Level 10.

Listening Lab:
This year we will be working on many pieces for beginning orchestra in the spring. I will provide audio or video links for you to listen to the pieces that we will be playing. I recommend that you listen to these examples with your music in front of you. I would also recommend that you listen to the examples and make notes in your music.
